In Cobb, there are more than 1,600 adults looking to go back to school, and in many cases, they're trying to balance work and family time. Additionally, Cobb is home to more than 44,000 adults without a high school diploma, according to recent census data.
Thanks to Cobb's Adult Education Center, it's now easier than ever to further your education in Cobb County.
In this podcast, Dr. Kranzlein and Principal Rachel explain the options available for classes in adult education.
This conversation details the best options available for Cobb residents who want to take the next step to further their education. What does that look like inside a classroom? The podcast explains what to expect.
There are opportunities to take classes in morning sessions, as well as in the afternoon, depending on what time someone is free during the day.
Through the Adult Education Center, anyone over the age of 16 who is not currently enrolled in a conventional high school program is eligible to participate and get their GED. This program also offers English classes for those learning it as a second language, along with civics and citizenship classes.
In 2025, Cobb graduated a record-breaking 125 adults from the program, setting the community members for more success in the future.
